Sea Turtles

This is your chance to see these turtles close up while in their natural environment. When these marine turtles arrive on the beach only one in 5000 baby turtles born will survive. Costa Rica is proud of their efforts to protect this wonderful birthing experience. These turtles have set migrations patterns and availability depends on those patterns. Please contact our company in advance to check for availability for these tours.

Just one hour south of Samara Beach lies Camaronal Beach where every night between June and December, the Olive Ridley sea turles come to nest in small but consistent numbers (not more than 20). We stay roughly an hour, giving us plenty of time to observe them nesting and then to see them off as she returns to the sea.
